I have over 25 years experience in designing, baking and decorating wedding and special occasion cakes.

I find sugar, in all its forms, a wonderful medium to work with, bringing out my artistic talents in modelling, painting, brush embroidery and all the various types of piping. I can both model and paint from photographs. I am a qualified caterer (IMA) and have spent several years teaching at local colleges of further education and courses from home.

I am based near Frome in Somerset, UK (see contact page for full details) and the area I cover is broadly as shown on this map. But I can take on comissions from the whole of the UK.



Weddings

The Wedding Cake is the centre piece of the reception and should be spectacular, blending with the whole theme of the wedding.

A one to one consultation is therefore important so that the details of wedding dress, colour scheme, flowers and even surroundings of the reception can all be brought together to produce a cake worthy of the day and to compliment the bride.

Samples of my work are always available at the consultation together with an extensive portfolio of photographs.

All decorations are made of sugar, flowers may be wired.

Individual attention is given to each order and to the delivery and setting up of the cake at the reception on the day of the Wedding.

Delivery to reception free within 15 miles radius of Frome.

Sugar Flowers are moulded to match the bridal bouquet as closely as possible. Hand painted sugar plaques and models are a speciality.

Sprays of Flowers for the cake knife, cake stand and 'favours'.

As every cake is individually designed and created a starting price only is given.

giving 150 portions (20% fewer for sponge cakes)



NB Other unusual shapes and designs can
be quoted for after consultation.

Cake content can be either my rich, well matured, brandy soaked fruitcake and/or a variety of sponge cakes: Plain, milk or white chocolate, double chocolate-chip, chocolate/orange, cocolate/mint, coffee, coffee/walnut, various liqueurs, orange, lemon and carrot or banana cake. Special diets can be catered for.
